There is a lot of information about renting in the UK, and we think the best advice is from the horses mouth. Check out all of your rights as a renter via the government website.
Check out the breakdown below:
You must give your landlord access to the property to inspect it or carry out repairs.
We have to give you at least 24 hours notice to access your bedroom, and need to visit at a reasonable time of day. Unless it’s an emergency and we need immediate access, in which case we will do our best to contact you by phone and by email before we enter to let you know.
You must also:
- take good care of the property
- pay the agreed rent, even if repairs are needed or you’re in dispute with us
- repair or pay for any damage caused by you, your family or friends
